Music, Art, Dance and Drama (MADD) Week18 March 2016
The week of 14th-18th March was MADD week at BJAB! The children from Year 1 to year 6 worked together creatively. All children contributed to a final production which never fails to impress the audience! We must thank all the teachers for their hard work and the children for their excellent effort! This Year our MADD week (Music, Art , Dance and Drama) has had a distinctly international feel as we explored stories and legends from different countries and continents.
In just five days, the children learned lines, memorised dance moves, made banners, costumes and dragons or snakes, practised origami, made dreamcatchers or tried a different style of art and also learned a great deal about working together co-operatively.
The school has been buzzing all week- a hive of industry!
Our stories were linked by a series of serpents or dragons; the rainbow serpent from Australia, quetzacoatl from South America, a python from Africa, a Chinese dragon, a dacian dragon from Europe and a king cobra from India
Words are not enough to describe the event, photos are visible in the Gallery on the parents’ billboard!
