Science and Technology Week at BJAB!10 January 2019
The new year at BJAB began with a bang! This week we have heard all sorts of scientific experiments followed by squeals of delight or gasps of wonder. Walking around school, we saw collaborative inquiry into the contents of tomato ketchup; the construction of lava lamps; the strength of bridges; the handling of hot potatoes; the making of stress-relieving putty… the list goes on. From the youngest to the eldest pupil, this week has been all about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and parents were invited to join on the last day to see the outcomes of all the learning. We wish to thank all the staff for their enthusiasm, particularly, Mr Moran and Mrs Scott who co-ordinated the events. The parents (Mrs Taylor; Mr Hamje; Ms Zackariya and Shawn) and visitors (Green Light for Girls, Eneko Urizov, Mrs Mace and Mr Mitchell), who contributed their time and expertise, provided excellent instruction and inspiration for our children. We are sure they saw much talent amongst our pupils.
