Orchestra (Rec – Y6)

On Tuesdays from 3.35pm – 4.35pm, Mr Gill will be running an orchestra for children in Reception to Year 6. Mr Gill has played and performed violin and viola for as long as he can remember and has performed as a solo musician around the world. Having previously taught violin, viola and small ensembles, he is looking forward to hearing the orchestra next term.

He will need to know what instruments you play and for how long you have been playing. He says that unfortunately there is only one piano so this position will be given to only one person on a first come first serve basis, subject to an audition! To join the orchestra you must be able to bring your instrument to school (except of course the piano) and you must know how to independently read music already.

He proposes to learn a well know piece of music but it will depend on the instrumentation of the orchestra.

From Tuesday 12th April until Tuesday 21st June

If your child wishes to sign up for the orchestra, will you please email v.naslin(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)bjab.org indicating what instrument your child plays.
