Home Learning

Home Learning is anything that our children do outside the normal school day that contributes to their learning and is in response to guidance from BJAB. Home learning encompasses a whole variety of activities instigated by teachers and parents to support learning. For example, parents who spend time reading stories to their children before bedtime are helping with home learning.

We believe that the link between learning at home and at school is absolutely crucial in supporting the learning that takes place during the school day. A strong home-school link gives each child the best opportunity to reach their full potential and every step is taken to inform parents about what and how their children are learning. This may be via a message in a contact book, a chat on the playground or a discussion in a formal Parents’ evening.

We firmly believe that communication is the key factor in all of our successful home-school partnerships.
