Contract type: Full-time (38hrs/week) until June 2022, with evaluation for renewal


Start date: Immediately


Working hours: TBD with candidate



  • To work across EYFS, KS1, KS2 or KS3 as necessary
  • To work in the classroom under the guidance of teaching staff
  • To support access to learning for LS (Learning Support) pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of the LS pupils
  • To work in small groups without a teacher present for some lessons (planning and resources provided)
  • To work with LS pupils without teachers present for some sessions
  • Participate in training, learning activities and other performance development as required
  • Assist with the school’s garderie service and/or after-school activities
  • Assist with the supervision of pupils in accordance with the school duty rota
  • Occasionally accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits and out of school activities as necessary


Experience & qualifications:

  • Experience working with or caring for children of primary age (3-12) (required)
  • Native or near-native mastery of English (required)
  • Experience working in a school environment (desired)
  • Can use technology – computer, video, photocopier, IWB
  • Can demonstrate effective use of ICT skills to support learning
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities
